Explore Murray River National Park
This park contains some of the most visually spectacular and environmentally important areas in the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin. Come and explore the three separate areas that make up the Murray River National Park: Katarapko (Berri/Glossop), Lyrup Flats (Lyrup) and Bulyong Island (Renmark), each of these sections have separate entrances so make sure you familiarise yourself with maps and where these entrances are. This park enables the conservation of more than 13,000 hectares and includes a vast network of Murray River wetlands and floodplains that provide unique natural experiences.
Wander The Village, Historic Loxton
The Village, Loxton has an aura of old-world charm. When entering 'The Village' you will feel like you have been transported back to the late 1890s when the Loxton township was just being developed. Foundations for 'The Village' were laid in the 1970s when the Loxton National Trust branch built a pug and pine replica of 'Loxton's Hut' - there are now over 45 fully furnished buildings and sites depicting and preserving the history and the way early settlers lived. Several buildings are home to the 1956 Murray River Flood exhibition, an amazing collection of photos showing the heartbreak and destruction left when the banks of The Murray overflowed! The whole family will enjoy 'The Village', let parents and grandparents reminisce whilst children learn how those before them once lived.
Have a beer and enjoy the view at Wilkadene, Woolshed Brewery
Woolshed Brewery is located in the historic 100-year-old shearing sheds of Wilkadene Station, located in the Riverland 20 kilometres north of Renmark. Since our first brew day in August 2009, the Woolshed Brewery is fast becoming one of the Riverland's top tourist destinations. With its rich history, stunning riverfront location set amongst beautiful gardens, it is the perfect place to kick back and relax with friends and family whilst enjoying all things Riverland. Brewery tours are available by appointment as well as self-guided tours of the property. Relax and play at Lake Bonney
One of South Australia's most popular aquatic playgrounds, freshwater Lake Bonney is the perfect place to spend a day doing almost anything you please. Whether you're a swimmer or boater, Lake Bonney is for you. Canoeists and other boating enthusiasts enjoy great fishing and sightseeing as the lake and adjoining wetlands abound with wildlife. The lake is also popular with water skiers, windsurfers and jet skiers and you'll find excellent safe swimming areas to relax away the hours.
Eat, drink and shop in Berri
Berri is the commercial hub of the Riverland, set amongst a sea of vineyards. It's a popular riverside town and is surrounded by host several attractions worth visiting. Walk the meandering two-kilometre riverfront from Berri to the popular recreational and camping reserve at Martins Bend. Stop in at 919 Wines or Berri Estates, the largest winery and distillery in Australia, or Berri Direct for fruit juices, dried fruits and more. Berri has a range of shopping facilities, accommodation and restaurants including the award-winning Mallee Fowl Restaurant, with good food served inside a former shearing shed filled with Australian memorabilia. Visit Bella Lavender Estate and experience the aromatic fragrance of lavender set amongst a beautiful backdrop of family-owned vineyards and olive trees. You can also relax and enjoy a cappuccino and home-made cake or try some of their lavender based products. Just north of Berri is Monash Adventure Park. This fantastic family destination features giant swings, leaning towers, an exhilarating flying fox and more. Set amongst shady trees and water features, the park offers free barbecue facilities and free admission. The name Berri is taken from an Aboriginal word 'bery bery' meaning 'bend in the river'.

The campsites are two-wheel drive, caravan and boat friendly. From the river, the property transforms from smooth clay flats, through to creek beds, to deep soft sandhills.
